SDB is a database tool, which is created specially for the problems of recognition and synthesis of Russian speech. At present the database contains more than 20,000 realizations of the Russian words, which have been recorded by different speakers. The words fully represent the phonetic system of the Russian language. Except for the audio data, the database contains information about phonetic segmentation of words for a set of phonetic models.
For information access we use a DCOM server Accessor. It allows several clients to exchange data with the database through a local network or Internet at the same time. The original base was derived from Oracle 8i. However, the Accessor allows it not to be attached to a concrete type of a server.
