Minsk, Belarus, November, 15 2007 – Sakrament IT starts the development
of
Lithuanian
speech synthesis system
Sakrament IT upon the request of Lithuanian company UAB “ŽINIU AMŽIUS” has started
the development of Lithuanian speech synthesis system.
Software will operate under OS Windows and Linux, support Sapi 4 and Sapi 5,
and will be fully compatible with screen reader system Jaws for Windows.
Within the frameworks of software development new male voice module for Lithuanian
language will be designed.
Key features of Lithuanian TTS Engine:
•
Reading aloud of documents by high-quality synthesized male voice
•
Wide range of voice settings – intonation parameters, speech rhythmic,
rate and pitch, different filters;
•
support SAPI Speech Tags and additional Tags of semantic marking in order to
improve quality of synthesized speech;
•
possibility to mark stresses and text fragments using Tags (date, time, address,
URL, e-mail, phone number, abbreviation, etc.), voice settings (volume, rate
intonation, etc.);
Development of linguistic and phonetic blocks will be carried out with the assistance
of leading specialists of the Republic of Belarus in the field of philology.
